Between that and the global shortage of materials to add more servers, it may be quite some time until new players are able to experience it. To prevent overcrowding and crashing servers, Square Enix have had to halt free trials and new sales to keep the game stable after an unprecedented surge in popularity this summer. Right now Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is so popular you can’t buy it anymore. Despite a few flaws, Endwalker is a fantastic end to the current story arc of Final Fantasy XIV.
